c-PAGEL Neo

Purpose and Application
- “c-PAGEL Neo” is a high-performance, ready-to-use polyacrylamide gel (glass plate size: 60 mm × 60 mm) for protein and DNA electrophoresis.
Features
- Compact size: 6 cm (W) × 6 cm (H)
- High-speed electrophoresis is possible — standard electrophoresis can be completed in just 30 minutes.
- Five gel concentrations are available, allowing a wide range of electrophoresis applications by changing the electrophoresis buffer.
- Reduces consumption of samples, electrophoresis buffers, antibodies, and other reagents.
- Pre-cast gel ensures stable quality and high reproducibility.
- Palm-sized and easy to handle — simple to set in or remove from the electrophoresis tank and easy to use for blotting procedures.
-
Expiration date: 1 year from the date of manufacture (when stored refrigerated).
- Compatible electrophoresis apparatus: ATTO Compact Gel Size Electrophoresis System (WSE-1030 Compact PAGE Neo, WSE-1040 Compact PAGE Neo)
Description
Example Result of High-Speed Electrophoresis
- The figures below show the results of electrophoresis using c-Pagel Neo (CN-520L) on the Compact PAGE Neo (WSE-1030) electrophoresis system: 20 mA for 32 minutes in CC mode (left) and 450 V for 10 minutes in CV mode (right).
- Even at the high-speed setting of 450 V in CV mode, no band distortion (such as smiling) was observed, and the electrophoretic pattern was comparable to that obtained under CC mode conditions (20 mA).

Conditions : 20 mA constant current, 32 mins

Conditions : 450 V constant voltage, 10 mins
Gel: c-Pagel Neo CN-520L
Electrophoresis buffer: 1x EzRun
Stain: EzStain AQua
Sample
Lane 1, 15: EzProtein Ladder
Lane 2, 14: EzStandard II
Lane 3, 13: EzStandard LMW
Lane 4, 5, 6: HeLa extract
Lane 7, 8, 9: E. coli extract
Lane 10, 11, 12: Chicken muscle extract
Electrophoresis Pattern Compared with Mini Gel
- The left image below shows the result of electrophoresis using c-Pagel Neo, run at 20 mA for 29 minutes. The right image shows the result using e-Pagel HR, run at 300 V for 35 minutes.
- Despite operating at just 20 mA, c-Pagel Neo completes electrophoresis faster than the high-speed run of mini gels.
- The center panel shows an enlarged view of the red-framed regions from both electrophoresis images.
- Although c-Pagel Neo features a smaller gel size, it offers the same high separation performance as a conventional mini-size gel, providing clear, stable, and reproducible bands.

Native PAGE
- By using a native PAGE electrophoresis buffer, samples can be analyzed in their non-denatured (native) state.
DNA-PAGE
- By using Tris-Glycine as the electrophoresis buffer, the gel can also be used for nucleic acid electrophoresis.

Molecular Weight Separation Range (Laemmli Method for Proteins)
By adjusting the gel concentration, samples of various molecular sizes can be effectively separated.
The figure below shows the relative mobility of EzProtein Ladder (WSE-7020), a molecular weight marker, following electrophoresis.

Separation Range
Type | Gel concentration | Separation range
15-wells | Protein (Da) | DNA (bp)
CN-7.5L | 7.5% | 40,000 ~ 400,000 | 250 ~ 3,000 |
CN-10L | 10% | 20,000~300,000 | 100~2,000 |
CN-12.5L | 12.5% | 10,000 ~ 250,000 | 70 ~ 1,800 |
CN-15L | 15% | 5,000 ~ 200,000 | 50 ~ 1,500 |
CN-520L | 5 ~ 20% | 3,500~400,000 | 30~2,500 |

* Gels do NOT contain SDS. Electrophoresis with buffer solution containing 24mM Tris + 192mM Glycine + 0.1% SDS (AE-1410 EzRun) is Laemmli method, and one without SDS (WSE-7055 EzRun TG) is Ornstein-Davis method.
* Use buffer solution containing 25mM Tris and 192mM Glycine or our product, [WSE-7055 EzRunTG] for DNA electrophoresis.
* We recommend storing the gel at a temperature between 5°C and 10°C. If it is placed near the cold air outlet of the refrigerator, the temperature may drop below 4°C, which can cause the gel to freeze and become unusable.
